Brian Reiter, DVM - Veterinarian
A graduate of the University of Missouri, School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Brian Reiter started this practice in 1997 and has been a driving force for the team of professionals at Bentley Animal Hospital. Dr. Reiter grew up on a 10 acre farm in Hillsboro, Mo and still calls Hillsboro home. Dr. Reiter believes that being able to be the spokesperson for the pet and deepening the bond between people and their pets is one of the most rewarding things about his job. “You get to be a part of the family,” says Reiter proudly, “and I want to be that veterinarian that my clients can come to for anything.”
When he isn’t in the office, Dr. Reiter enjoys the outdoors and being with his family; his wife Kay and their three kids, Emily, Matt and Michael. The family also includes Gibson, the dog and Tigger, the cat.
Kay Reiter – Business Manager
For eight years Kay has been making sure the families and pets that come to Bentley Animal Hospital receive the best possible care. After spending time as a business manager in the office, she spends most of her time making sure three kids get to multiple practices and get their homework done.
Makalah Boyer - Receptionist
Makalah makes it a goal to be able to greet every patient and their pet by name, which she has been doing at Bentley Animal Hospital for a total of seven years, recently rejoining the team in 2008. Working for Bentley is a natural fit for Makalah as most of her free time is spent with dogs through the Golden Retriever Club of St. Louis. Tanner, Darby, Johnny and Brady are Makalah’s four Golden Retrievers who she actively trains/shows in conformation, agility, obedience, rally as well as tracking and field. The family is rounded out with Jack the border collie and Libby the cat. Being a part of the lifecycle of a pet and experience their lives along with the families is what makes her job so rewarding.
