Brian Reiter, DVM - Veterinarian
A graduate of the University of Missouri, School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Brian Reiter started this practice in 1997 and has been a driving force for the team of professionals at Bentley Animal Hospital. Dr. Reiter grew up on a 10 acre farm in Hillsboro, Mo and still calls Hillsboro home. Dr. Reiter believes that being able to be the spokesperson for the pet and deepening the bond between people and their pets is one of the most rewarding things about his job. “You get to be a part of the family,” says Reiter proudly, “and I want to be that veterinarian that my clients can come to for anything.”
When he isn’t in the office, Dr. Reiter enjoys the outdoors and being with his family; his wife Kay and their three kids, Emily, Matt and Michael. The family also includes Gibson, the dog and Tigger, the cat.
Amanda Bailey, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Amanda Bailey was raised in Columbia, MO where her parents, older brother and sister currently live. She met her husband, Richard, during her undergraduate studies and has been happily married since 2012. Her interest in veterinary medicine started when she was 10 years old shortly after her mom started working at the Veterinary School. After completing her pre-vet studies at the University of Missouri she was admitted into the University of Missouri Veterinary School and graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2015.
During her spare time she likes to spend time with family, ride her bike, and play the violin. She and her husband currently reside in Valley Park, MO.
Jessica Farris, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Jessica Farris, a St. Louis native, is thrilled to be part of the Bentley team and hopes to see you soon! She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri, where she developed interests in nutrition, cardiology, and ophthalmology. Dr. Farris is also Fear Free certified, and values the ability to practice at an AAHA accredited hospital so she can provide the best possible care for your pet!
Dr. Farris currently lives with her husband and cat in St. Louis. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and dreaming up new ways to improve veterinary medicine.
Kay Reiter – Business Manager
For eight years Kay has been making sure the families and pets that come to Bentley Animal Hospital receive the best possible care. After spending time as a business manager in the office, she spends most of her time making sure three kids get to multiple practices and get their homework done.
Makalah Boyer - Receptionist
Makalah makes it a goal to be able to greet every patient and their pet by name, which she has been doing at Bentley Animal Hospital for a total of seven years, recently rejoining the team in 2008. Working for Bentley is a natural fit for Makalah as most of her free time is spent with dogs through the Golden Retriever Club of St. Louis. Tanner, Darby, Johnny and Brady are Makalah’s four Golden Retrievers who she actively trains/shows in conformation, agility, obedience, rally as well as tracking and field. The family is rounded out with Jack the border collie and Libby the cat. Being a part of the lifecycle of a pet and experience their lives along with the families is what makes her job so rewarding.
Amy - Receptionist
Amy is a mother to two wonderful children, 3 dogs, 2 cats and 2 rats. Amy has been with the Bentley Animal Hospital team for 3 years, and outside of her work here she is active in opossum rescue. Amy is currently enrolled at Jefferson College for Health Information Technologies. In her free time Amy loves to go on adventures and spend as much time with her kids as possible.
Kelsey is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and has always had a passion for all animals; especially canines. Kelsey is starting the Veterinary Technician program at Jefferson College in the fall and is looking forward to starting her career. Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys painting and spending time with her pet, Buddy.
Lynda was notorious as a child for bringing home sick and injured animals of all species with animal welfare always being a passion of hers. Lynda has resumed her passion for veterinary medicine now that her children are grown and have families of their own.
Christine is currently finishing her general education transfer studies through St. Louis Community College and has joined our team as our newest receptionist. Christine focuses her attention here at Bentley Animal Hospital on making our patients feel loved, and taking care of all of our client needs to the fullest potential. Outside of work she loves to spend time with friends and family. Christine likes to take trips and spend as much time outside as possible.
Lauren - Technician
Lauren is currently attending the Veterinary Technology Program at Jefferson College and plans to graduate in May 2017. Working with animals is something Lauren has wanted to do since being a young girl. She shares her life with a 2-year-old cat, Fletcher and enjoys exploring the outdoors, spending time with family, friends, and Fletcher.
Kierstin - Technician
Hanna - Technician
Hanna is a new mom of a beautiful baby girl, born in December 2016. She has been an animal lover ever since she was a little girl and started working in the veterinary field in late 2012. Most of Hanna’s time is now spent taking care of her daughter, Ella and her 4-year-old pit bull, Rose. Hanna plans to go back to school within the next year or two to become a veterinarian.
Samantha - Technician
Samantha has recently joined our team here at Bentley Animal Hospital and plans to attend school in the fall to start her career in veterinary medicine. Samantha has always had a weakness for animals of all breeds and loves being able to ensure full health and care for every patient of ours. In her free time, Samantha loves to hike with her friends to new places, attend concerts and do research on new subjects.
Patty - Boarding Manager
Patty was born and raised in Iowa and has lived in Missouri for 23 years. Patty has two grown sons and one grandson. She and her husband have lived outside of Cedar Hill in their family home for 15 years. Patty was a long-time client of Dr. Reiter before coming to work at Bentley Animal Hospital where she is following her passion for animals.
Julie - Groomer
My name is Julie Pavlovits. I am married with 6 kids 4 dogs and 2 cats. I have been grooming for 13 years. I went to petropolis grooming school to get my certification. I have experience in all breeds as well as cats. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies to meet all your grooming needs!
Robin - Groomer
Robin is originally from Fenton, MO and has been grooming canines for 26 + years. Robin's favorite part about grooming is seeing all the incredible transformations that take place after giving a new look to her client's pets. In her spare time, Robin enjoys spending time her 4 pets and taking them on walks, along with playing volleyball and going to the lake.
