Brian Reiter, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Brian Reiter grew up on a farm with a close-knit family of 10 in Hillsboro, MO and still calls Hillsboro his home today. A graduate of the University of Missouri, School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Reiter started this practice in 1998 and has been a driving force for the team of professionals at Bentley Animal Hospital. Although he is passionate about everything he does, his work with dentistry and routine surgeries tend to be his favorite. Dr. Reiter is a very goal-driven and hardworking individual and he is constantly encouraging all of his employees to excel in everything that they set out to do as well as making them feel like family. When Dr. Reiter isn't in the office, he enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family: his wife, Kay, and their three kids, Emily, Matt, and Michael. The family also includes Gibson the black lab, Ace the Draathar Dog (also known as Acelyn Von Buschensmacher), and Tigger the tabby cat.
Dr. Jaci Wirt, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Wirt grew up on a cattle farm in Iowa and is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Animal Science in 2005 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine since 2009. Dr. Wirt shares her home with her 3 pugs Nieko, King, and Kong, and sometimes more as she is a foster parent for not only dogs, but children too! In her spare time Dr. Wirt lends a helping hand not only to the Girl Scout Organization, but other non-profit organizations as well. She also loves taking any chance to travel! Dr. Wirt's favorite thing about being a veterinarian is meeting clients and building relationships with people and of course their pets!
Kay Reiter – Business Manager
For eight years Kay has been making sure the families and pets that come to Bentley Animal Hospital receive the best possible care. After spending time as a business manager in the office, she spends most of her time making sure three kids get to multiple practices and get their homework done.
Emily - Front Office Manager
Emily is our Front Office Manager here at Bentley Animal Hospital and has been with us for a few years. In her free time, Emily enjoys cooking, crafting, such as making t-shirts for employees, and spending time with her 2 dogs, Luke and Trapper. Emily also enjoys going on hikes with her dogs and fiancé, Tyler. Emily's favorite thing about working at Bentley is the client communication.
Hanna – Lead Room Technician
Hanna is out lead room technician and has been with us since June of 2016. She shares her home with her daughter, Ella, and pit bull, Rose, and is expecting a new baby at the end of July 2019. In her free time, Hanna enjoys spending time with her daughter and enjoying the outdoors, sporting events, and concerts. She also works on the side as an independent sales consultant for SeneGence International (LipSense). Hanna's favorite part about being a technician is client education/communication and she is always striving to learn more in order to offer each and every pet the highest standard of care.
Lauren - Lead Surgical Technician
I started my veterinary career in 2008. Working with animals has always been a dream of mine. In the clinic, I enjoy talking with pet owners and building a bond with their animals. My true passion in the veterinary field is surgery and I am proud to be Bentley Animal Hospital’s Lead Surgery Technician. I share my life with my husband Matthew, daughter Nadia, cat Meeko, and dog Corona. We love weekend camping trips and baking homemade pizza together. We recently moved back to the Fenton area and are excited to be a part of this community again!
Lauren - RVT
Lauren graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Jefferson College in May of 2017 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician after passing her state and national exams in August of 2017. She shares her home with her fiancé, Zach, along with their dog, Hank and 2 cats, Sonic and Fletcher. In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with friends, going on outdoor adventures, and cheering on the St. Louis Blues during hockey season. Lauren's favorite thing about being a technician is assisting with surgery and phlebotomy work such as drawing blood, placing IV catheters, and running blood work.
Jessica - RVT
Jessica is a 2009 graduate from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickey College and has worked in everything from emergency medicine to specialty, but most of her career has been spent in general practice. She joined Bentley part-time in June 2018 following her maternity leave because she missed veterinary medicine so much! In her spare time, Jessica volunteers at a local "trap-neuter-release" clinic and is the current vice-president of the Missouri Veterinary Technician Association. Australian Shepherds are her breed, so be prepared for her to schmooze on yours if you have one! Her home is run by her 14-year-old Australian Shepherd, Jamie, Sheltie mix, Gambit, and her three cats: Ser Jorah Furmont (Jojo), who is a rare type B blood donor, Espeon, and Voltron; she, her husband, and their daughter just live there. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is nutrition, preventative care, phlebotomy, and client education.
McKayla - RVT
McKayla graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Vatterott College in April of 2018 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in September of 2018 after passing her state and national exams. She is married to her husband, Garry, and together they have a 4-year-old daughter named Kari and will be welcoming their second daughter in September of 2019. Together they own 2 dogs, Hippo and Penelope. In her free time, McKayla enjoys reading and spending time with her family. Her favorite part about being a technician is lab work and assisting with surgeries.
Brett - Technician
Brett graduated from the Jefferson College Veterinary Technician program in May 2018. He first started working in veterinary hospitals in July of 2011. His passion for animals started 12 years ago when he started caring for a stray cat. That cat, Mr. Butters, has become an indoor cat and is still part of Brett's family today. He also has another cat Ricky who is 6 and a three-legged dog Bruno who is 8 who were fosters that became part of the family.
Paige – Veterinary Technician
Paige graduated from the veterinary technician program at Vatterott College in June of 2018. She currently lives with her boyfriend, Lucky, and their two pets: Ninja, the tuxedo cat, and Skye, the Border Collie Mix. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, and coloring, cutting, or styling hair. Before coming to Bentley, Paige worked at an veterinary urgent care center for about a year. Paige's favorite thing about being a technician is properly educating clients about their pet's lifestyle, vaccines, preventatives, and more!
Alyssa - Technician
Alyssa is a graduate of Fox Senior High School and is currently attending the Veterinary Technician Program at Jefferson College. She joined the Bentley team in January of 2019 and has been in the veterinary field since 2017. Alyssa shares her home with her two dogs: Paige, the Puggle, and Annie, the pocket Beagle. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys the outdoors, hanging out with friends, and watching or attending sporting events. Her favorite part of being a technician is being able to build client relationships, helping ill/injured pets make a full recovery, and making a positive impact on all pets' lives.
Michael - Assistant
A recent graduate of Vianney High School, Michael has been helping out around the clinic since he was old enough to start working. He is always lending a helping hand to those who need it, whether it be an employee, client, or patient. Michael will be starting his first year of college this fall at Missouri State University and will be studying biology. As Michael learns more about the veterinary medical field, he progresses through the positions at the clinic, meaning that you can find him helping out in surgery or assisting the doctors with an appointment. You can also find him helping his dad, Dr. Reiter, with beekeeping and taking care of the bees that we have on the property!
Lynda was notorious as a child for bringing home sick and injured animals of all species with animal welfare always being a passion of hers. Lynda has resumed her passion for veterinary medicine now that her children are grown and have families of their own.
Julie - Groomer
My name is Julie Pavlovits. I am married with 6 kids 4 dogs and 2 cats. I have been grooming for 13 years. I went to petropolis grooming school to get my certification. I have experience in all breeds as well as cats. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies to meet all your grooming needs!
